Your ability to create content in GATE Village is dependant on your permissions as a member.

To create content:

Starting from Create Content on the Actions drop down or navigate to the location (container) where you want to add the content and select "Add child page" (if it is available).

All content requires a title or subject.  Some content types will require additional information as well.

Content in GATE Village is created by content type and can take many forms such as blog entries, images, forum topics (e.g. GATE Talks), and pages (Member Page).  Not all content types can be contained in all types of outlines.  For example you can not put a Forum topic in an Event.

The outline is not a required when creating content however it is highly recommended to select the outline which will contain your content.  This will make it easier for you and other members to find your content.

An outline is a container to hold and organize the content.  It may be helpful to think of this as a filing cabinet which other members must have the rights to  access.  Within the outline are specific outlines to further categorize your content making it easier to find and retreive.
